Welcome to FlairBartending.TV. After blogging for 5 years at ChrisTheBartender.com, acquiring over 10,000 bartenders/subscribers and nearly 5 million YouTube views, I decided it was time to create a site dedicated 100% to teaching flair bartending. If you’ve been bartending for a while and are looking for the next step, join me and we’ll take your bartending to a whole new level with practical, easy-to-learn flair bartending moves. We start slow with the basics but things get complex quick. Increase your sales, tips, and overall enjoyment by adding a little flair to your bartending job. New moves debut every week, designed specifically for you.
Why should you learn to flair? Every week I hear from bartenders all over the world who got the job they wanted, got the promotion they wanted, won their pub’s flair competition, made extra tips, impressed new clientele, or even re-discovered their passion for bartending – all because they set themselves apart with a little flair. Those are my favorite emails to receive. It makes my day to know that someone out there is rockin’ it – and that I could help in some way.
Let me be the first to admit that flair bartending, or show bartending as it is sometimes called, isn’t for everyone at every bar. It has a proper time and place. In fact, the bar I currently work in is not “flair-friendly.” The owners don’t really mind, but it’s a 4 star French restaurant; people come to eat moules frites and drink awesome wine, not to watch me flip bottles. Being a good flair bartender doesn’t mean flipping bottles all the time; it means always giving rockstar service and knowing when it’s appropriate to throw in a little extra entertainment. It means going above and beyond the regular level of service and learning how to entertain your guests in ways they can’t get elsewhere.
If you’re interested in learning to flair, I’m excited for you! Know that it can be frustrating at first. Learning new things can be difficult, but anything worthwhile is never easy. If it was easy, every bottle jockey would be doing it. Stick with it, stick with me, pick up your bottles, dust yourself off and let’s have some fun!
